About
Richard Wellington is the first culprit in Justice for All, he murders Dustin Prince and frames Maggey Byrde. Richard poses himself as a rather flamboyant and loud young man who only wanted first rate. In actuality, Richard is a petty thief who was involved in a small ring of other thieves. Richard one day loses his phone, and attempts to call it. The call is answered by Maggey Byrde, who was on a date with Dustin Prince. When Richard arrives to get his phone back, hes startled that Maggey is with a police officer. Paranoid that Dustin may have looked at his phone, which reveals his true identity, Richard pushes him and then frames Maggey for the crime by using Dustins hand to write "Maggie". However, Dustin grabs Richards glasses before he falls, thus keeping them in his hand and Richard simply thinks they fell off somewhere. Winston Payne has Richard as a witness for the trial of Maggey. Before the trial begins, Richard calls his (still lost) phone, which is in possession of Phoenix Wright, Maggeys defense lawyer. Richard then knocks Phoenix out and takes back "his" phone. Despite this, Phoenix still proves that Richards testimony is full of holes, like how Maggeys name is spelled wrong as "Maggie", and that Dustin was left handed. In effort to prove hes innocent, Richard deletes all the contacts off of "his" phone. But in actuality, he really stole the phone of Phoenix Wright.

Admin Opinions
Richard I honestly don't have heavy opinions on, I do like him obviously, but I don't have much to say. I was kind of surprised he doesn't get a future passing mention like first case culprits such as Frank Sahwit or Jacques Portsman, when I first played I thought that the thief ring he was in would get more lore. Anyway, Richard I give a solid 4/5 in terms of villains. He did his purpose, he did the funny breakdown, and died <3 (He didnt die btw its part of the meme) also I have this weird headcanon that hes Frank Sahwits long lost son
