Yanni Yogi was a baliff before becoming the prime suspect in the DL-6 case and the murder of Gregory Edgeworth. Although he was found not guilty by reason of insanity, his reputation was ruined and his fiancée Polly Jenkins committed suicide. Yanni then became a rental boat shop owner at Gourd Lake, he was later contacted by Manfred von Karma via anonymous letter and was given a plan to "get revenge" on the night of the anniversary of the crime. Yanni called his former defense attorney, Robert Hammond, and shot him fatally. He hid his body in Gourd Lake, and then called Miles Edgeworth. Miles, who had not seen Robert in years, would not know it was Yanni posing as him. Yanni posing as Robert, went out on a boat with Miles and made it look like Miles had shot "Robert". Yanni then kept up his act during trial and was able to hide his identity since his finger tips were burned, so his fingerprints couldn't be traced. However Yanni slowly fell apart as Miles Edgeworths defense attorney, Phoenix Wright, learned oddly coincidental details such as Yannis parrot was named after his late wife, and that the lock to his safe was a date in the DL-6 case. Eventually, Yanni broke his act and revealed he did indeed kill Robert Hammond and he was Yanni Yogi. More details on what actually happened in the DL-6 case can be found on Manfred von Karmas page
Yanni Yogi appears in the fourth case of the first game, he does not appear in any of the other games. He appears in the anime, pachinko, and live action movie.

Joe Darke was a business man who committed a string of murders in 2015 after hitting a man with his car by accident. This quickly went out of control when Joe began murdering the nearby witnesses. Whilst being interrogated, the power went out and he ran out of the office into the shared office of Damon Gant and Lana Skye. When he made it to the office, he found Lanas younger sister, Ema Skye. But was in a struggle with Neil Marshall. Neil knocked Joe unconscious with his Prosecutors trophy. When Joe woke up, it looked like he had murdered Neil Marshall. Although Joe was a serial murderer, the death of Neil was not his doing and was done to ensure he'd get the death penalty. He was prosecuted by Miles Edgeworth, and soon sentenced to death. Joe Darke only appears in the final case of the first game, he does not appear in any other games or shows.
